It was about time I learned how to make a fresh Spicy Paloma! I’ve been on a Spicy Margarita/Paloma kick recently so I decided it was time I learned how to properly make one of my own. These tasted pretty good! Next time, I want to use all fresh juice ingredients. But while in a pinch this is a quick, healthy take of a spicy Paloma!

Ingredients: This recipe makes 2 pretty strong Paloma’s

  • 4 oz of mezcal

  • 2 oz of grapefruit juice

  • Lime zest

  • 1 tsp of agave nectar

  • 5 slices of jalapeño (with seeds)

  • 1 lime

  • Seltzer

  • Himalayan salt

Prep:

  1. In a shaker, muddle 5 slices of jalapeño

  2. Add 3 shots of mezcal, grapefruit juice, agave nectar, lime zest and the juice, and shake well.

  3. Pour over ice, and top with seltzer water (I used a lime flavored seltzer)

  4. I salted the rim with a little Himalayan salt
