Juicing
The more we incorporate natural foods from the earth into our day-to-day lives, the better we will feel. Juicing is one place to start. The act of c o n s c i o u s l y creating a beautiful healthy juice that feeds my body with vitamins and minerals has been immensely helpful for me mentally and physically. Since I started juicing daily I’ve never felt better.
Carrot Orange Ginger
Make this juice to kick of your weekend. Orange Carrot Ginger Juice offers many benefits…orange juice is loaded with Vitamin C. Carrot juice will give you lots of beta-carotene - as well as B-vitamins, potassium and other minerals. The ginger offers anti-inflammatory properties and a zingy flavor!
Fennel Celery Apple Lemon Juice
This juice is sure to add a little pep to your step….discovering fennel was one of the best additions to my diet for so many reasons. Fennel has a pale green bulb with long stalks. The flavor is that of licorice and adds a great bite to many meals! This little vegetable contains unique phytonutrients, vitamin C, and fiber that will benefit your health in many ways. I love eating it chopped raw or roasted in salads, but it also adds a great flavor to your favorite green juice.
Orange/Carrot/Ginger Cake Loaf
One thing I love about juicing is getting creative with the pulp to create a beautiful recipe. On the weekends I’ve been making orange/carrot/ginger juices, and the pulp goes great in muffins, sweet breads, cookies, or whatever you want to bake!
Vegan Beet Burgers using Juice Pulp
If you have a juicer, and love veggie burgers, then this recipe is for you! I’ve been trying to make a juice everyday and recently have been reading up on ways you can use the excess pulp from the juice!
Beet Carrot Apple
This is a great combination for a midday pick-me-up. It’s packed with fiber and Vitamin C from the apple as well as Vitamin A from the carrots, which is a very important antioxidants for strong vision. This juice is literally my favorite things to drink in the afternoon!
Gingery Green
This juice is the perfect way to start your morning. Packed with vitamins and minerals from the kale, this juice has a great flavor from the ginger and apple.
Drink your Spinach
I hate eating spinach, whether it’s raw or cooked, so I will forever drink it. The other ingredients in this juice make drinking spinach taste tolerable!
Parsley Punch
I always have parsley in my fridge so this was an easy addition to my morning juice! Parsley is a great antioxidant that is rich in vitamins such as potassium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin B, C, E, and K! Just a handful of juiced parsley gives for a great color and fresh flavor.
