Fennel Celery Apple Lemon Juice

This juice is sure to add a little pep to your step….

Discovering fennel was one of the best additions to my diet for so many reasons. Fennel has a pale green bulb with long stalks. The flavor is that of licorice and adds a great bite to many of my juices and meals! This little vegetable contains unique phytonutrients, vitamin C, and fiber that will benefit your health in many ways. I love eating it chopped raw or roasted in salads, but it also adds a great flavor to your favorite green juice.

Back in the day fennel was used for many medicinal purposes. Herbalists still use it today to treat digestive disorders, alleviate period cramps, and to sooth stomach pain. It is especially a great addition to add to your diet if you have an iron deficiency.

Try out this juice recipe as the flavor of the fennel adds the perfect ZIP.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fennel bulb

  • 1 green apple

  • 1 lemon

  • 7 celery sticks

Prep:

  • Wash and cut off the butt and the tops of your fennel bulb and celery sticks. Cut in half or quarters to fit in the shoot of your juicer.

  • Wash and core your apple. Roughly cut into slices to fit in the shoot of your juicer.

  • Wash and peel your lemon. I try to remove as many seeds as I can find without driving myself crazy.
